Dupe is a carefully handmade scent, crafted with natural oils, exploring consumerism, desire, and the traces we carry. Constructed from layered olfactory notes, the work unfolds like the contents of a well-worn leather bag: scraps of paper, makeup powders, perfume vials, and loose coins.

The scent opens with powdery, cosmetic top notes—lipstick traces, soft yet artificial—before revealing a metallic and floral mid-section, grounded by the synthetic hum of Iso E Super. At its base, leather lingers: worn, intimate, and durable, recalling both luxury and everyday use.

Dupe also comments on the bootleg and copy market of perfumes, reflecting on the circulation of imitations and the complex dynamics of desire, authenticity, and value. It captures the tension between originality and reproduction—the invisible economy of things that seduce, mark, and weigh in our pockets.
