BITTER PEACH NO STOP duo exhibition with Mercedes Pimiento at Fuxia 2, Malmö, 2024

Fuxia 2 presents works by Mercedes Pimiento and Tringa Gashi, and is co-curated by Blanca del Río – exhibition coordinator at MACBA.

BITTER PEACH NO STOP is a sensual exploration of the libidinous circuit connecting desires, commodities, and political imaginaries. Tringa Gashi and Mercedes Pimiento’s works intertwine scent, light, and sound to translate meticulous research into shifting visual experiences, encouraging viewers to think through images. Gashi’s video piece, Common Desire (2024), investigates the impact of capitalism in Kosovo, exploring post-war aesthetics and free-market imaginaries, and is further expanded by Arcade (2024), a site-specific photo-installation addressing gentrification in Prizren. The exhibition transports viewers through perfume shops, utopian cities, hotel rooms, and cargo ships—evoking the complex circulation of commodities and desires. Also featured in the exhibition are the works Femra (2024) and Smoking Scene (2023).
